Our thanks go to Bridlington U3A for the fantastic support which they gave when we made a presentation at one of their monthly meetings. The generosity of this group of people has enabled more than one hundred and fifty children to receive an education!
Each child has been given a school uniform, exercise books, pens and pencils in order to attend school. Also each one was given a Solar Light for use in the home where there is no electricity, and to provide a clean source of illumination for the entire family.
Scarborough Inner Wheel have been supporting us for some considerable time and we are so grateful for their ongoing help. Many children have benefited from the ladies of this group who have very generously done fundraising and purchased our hand made goods.
Without the support of such groups, we would not be able to achieve our aims of providing education for disadvantaged children on the island of Ukerewe and some smaller satellite islands nearby. Thank you to everyone at Scarborough Inner Wheel.
